Challenge

Control panels and switches operating in correctional facilities must be capable of withstanding recurrent vandalism by inmates, as well operate without any malfunctions under all weather conditions. Switches must also have self-diagnostic capability so ad to alert the system to tampering and damage.

Solution

The company designed virtually indestructible solid-state stainless steel buttons and keypads to resist constant attempts at vandalism by prison inmates and ensure their functionality; special touch metal piezo buttons were engineered for easy activation; and switches with a built-in timer function to prevent cell flooding attempts.
